Lula's trip to China: Pacheco goes, Lira doesn't.

Lira stated that he has commitments in Brazil that he cannot reschedule.

247 - “The president of the Senate, Rodrigo Pacheco (PSD-MG), stated this Friday (7) that he will accompany the President of the Republic Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) on his trip to China. The president of the Chamber, Arthur Lira (PP-AL), told the blog that he will not be part of the delegation,” reports journalist Ana Flor on her blog. portal G1.

"The initial plan was for Lula's trip to China to take place in March, but the president contracted pneumonia. Therefore, the trip to the Asian country will now happen this week. There was an expectation that, with the change of date, Lira could travel. However, the rescheduling of Lula's trip to China did not change the presence of the presidents of the Houses of Congress in the delegation," he adds. 

According to the journalist, “Lira stated that he has commitments in Brazil that he cannot reschedule. Furthermore, the Chamber resumes voting this week and is awaiting the submission, by Friday (14), of the fiscal framework text”.
