World Opera - Venezuelan authorities arrested two more people on Tuesday (May 12) involved in the attempted invasion of the country that occurred on May 3.

According to the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), the criminals were arrested in the village of Colonia Tovar, in the state of Aragua.

"Thanks to the Civic-Military-Police union, we arrested two mercenaries in Colonia Tovar, both deserters. We will not give quarter to any plan that seeks to destabilize the homeland," reported the Bolivarian National Guard.

The two captured individuals are Venezuelan citizens and former military dissidents. To date, 33 people have been captured in connection with the operation contracted by the opposition led by Juan Guaidó to kidnap President Nicolás Maduro and overthrow the Venezuelan government.

Juan José Rendón, an advisor to Guaidó who lives in Miami, even confirmed to CNN in Spanish that he hired and paid out of his own pocket the American security company SilvercorpUSA to invade Venezuela and kidnap the government's political leaders.

The contract signed by Guaidó, Rendón, and the American Jordan Goudreau, director of SilvercorpUSA, establishes the amount that would be charged for the operation, as well as the objectives of overthrowing Maduro and installing a government presided over by Juan Guaidó.
