247, with Reuters - The European Union's Brexit negotiator, Michel Barnier, warned the United Kingdom on Monday (11) that the deadline to reach a separation agreement before the UK leaves the bloc on March 29 is "extremely short".
"This time, the remaining time is extremely short," Barnier said at a press conference in Luxembourg. "The withdrawal agreement that we agreed with Theresa May's government... remains the best way to ensure an orderly exit for the United Kingdom."
Barnier was speaking with the Prime Minister of Luxembourg, Xavier Bettel, who emphasized that the responsibility for finding a solution to Brexit lay with London.
"We never pushed for Brexit, we never demanded Brexit," Bettel said. "The responsibility began in London and remains in London."
