247 - American journalist Tucker Carlson released a video announcing his interview with Russian President Vladimir Putin, detailing his reasons for doing so. The interview announcement was posted on the journalist's official website.
"We're in Moscow tonight. We're here to interview the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin," Carlson said in the video. "That's why we're doing this. First, because it's our job. We're in journalism. Our duty is to inform people."
Carlson stated that most people in the United States are uninformed about the situation in Ukraine and have no idea what is happening in the region.
The conflict also reshaped global military and trade alliances, Carlson said.
He also said that the Joe Biden administration tried twice to prevent his interview with Putin. He further added that billionaire Elon Musk, owner of X, promised not to block or suppress his interview with Putin on social media. (With information from Sputnik).
