247 - US President Donald Trump said on Monday (23) that now is "the time for peace." The statement came after Iran retaliated with an attack on the US air base Al Udeid in Qatar. "Congratulations, world, it's time for peace!" Trump wrote on his social network Truth Social.

According to the president, Iran launched 14 missiles, 13 of which were intercepted and one did not reach its target. Trump stated that there were no American casualties and described the Iranian attack as "weak," emphasizing that US operations were "successful."

The conflict between Iran and Israel began on June 13, when the Israeli government, led by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, advocated for the destruction of Iran's nuclear capabilities.

At least 950 people have died in Iran since the start of the Israeli bombings on June 13, according to the Human Rights Activists News Agency (Hrana). The independent NGO's figures are almost double the approximately 500 deaths estimated by Iranian authorities.
