247 - US President Donald Trump said on Friday (21) that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is not "important enough" to participate in peace negotiation meetings with Russia. In an interview with Fox radio host Brian Kilmeade, Trump criticized Zelensky's performance and questioned his ability to negotiate with Moscow.

"He was in meetings for three years with a president [Joe Biden] who didn't know what he was doing. He was in those meetings for three years, and nothing got resolved. So, to be honest, I don't think he's very important to be in those meetings," Trump said, according to a report by Sputnik.

The American president also stated that Zelensky has no leverage in negotiations with Russia. "I've been watching him negotiate without any cards in his hand. He doesn't have any cards," Trump declared, suggesting that the Ukrainian leader would not be able to pressure Moscow.

Rare and Critical Earths Agreement Trump also commented on a rare earth agreement with Ukraine, which he is trying to broker.

"We had an agreement on rare earth elements, and the Treasury Secretary, a very good guy, went there, but they didn't even come close to closing a deal. Frankly, I would have preferred he hadn't gone, wasted all that time like that. But they couldn't get close. They met, right? And when he wanted to move forward, he couldn't meet again. It was a wasted trip, and a dangerous one too," Trump stated.
