Trump says Ukraine is still not willing to reach a peace agreement.
The White House chief says Ukraine would sign the minerals agreement, but the most important thing is that the Ukrainians want peace.
TASS - US President Donald Trump said that Ukrainian authorities are still not showing sufficient willingness to resolve the conflict peacefully.
While aboard Air Force One returning to Washington from Florida, he was asked if the U.S. would resume aid to Ukraine if Kyiv signed an agreement with Washington on mineral resources. "Well, I think they would sign the minerals agreement. But I want them to want peace," Trump remarked.
A reporter asked Trump how Kiev could demonstrate this willingness. "Well, right now, they haven't demonstrated it to the extent they should have. I think they haven't demonstrated it now, but I think they will, and I think that will become evident in the next two to three days," the president emphasized.
