Trump committed a war crime, say Scott Ritter and Andrew Napolitano.

Former CIA analyst denounces bombing of Iran as illegal, ineffective, and politically motivated; Judge Andrew Napolitano says action is grounds for impeachment.

247 - In a special edition of the program Judging FreedomIn a broadcast this Sunday (22), Judge Andrew Napolitano and former Marine intelligence officer and former UN inspector, Scott Ritter, classified the decision by the President of the United States, Donald Trump, to order military attacks against Iran as criminal. The analysis aired on the judge's YouTube channel, who opened the episode with a forceful statement: "What the President of the United States did was deeply unconstitutional, absolutely illegal, a war crime and grounds for impeachment."

The interview denounces the bombing carried out by American forces — with direct support from Israel — against three Iranian nuclear facilities. Ritter, who has extensive experience in military damage assessment and combating nuclear proliferation, stated: “It was an illegal act of aggression, a war crime. It is the worst kind of crime, because all others stem from it.”

The attacks were rehearsed but did not achieve their military objectives.

Ritter revealed that the targets attacked — Isfahan, Natanz, and Fordow — had all been evacuated. “The locations were empty. Everything that was bombed had already been removed by the Iranians days ago. It was a rehearsed operation with Israel since the Biden administration, carried out purely for political reasons,” he said.

The former officer explained that the B-2 bombers used GBU-57 deep-penetrating weapons, but without any effectiveness: “A 14-ton bomb was dropped on Natanz, but everything of value had already been removed. The attack did not compromise Iran's nuclear program in any way.”

In Fordow, considered the main target of the operation, the result was equally ineffective. “Six B-2s bombed the site, and the most they managed to do was damage an entrance. Iran has other exits and had already removed all the sensitive material.”

"Acts of political theater" and risk to American troops.

Ritter and Napolitano accused Trump of turning the U.S. military into a propaganda tool. “There was no imminent threat. It was a charade. This isn’t leadership, it’s political desperation,” Ritter stated. Napolitano added that Trump ignored both the Constitution and the War Powers Resolution, which requires prior notification to Congress: “He killed people and destroyed property without just cause.”

Analysts also warned of the risk of retaliation against American soldiers in the region. “We have thousands of troops in bases spread across Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Iraq, Syria, and Turkey. Now they are all under real threat,” said Ritter, recalling that Iran has already demonstrated the capacity to retaliate with precision, as after the assassination of General Qassem Soleimani in 2020.

The international community could isolate the US.

In the final part of the program, Ritter suggested that Russia, China, India, and Pakistan will seek to contain the escalation of the conflict and diplomatically isolate the United States. “The world is witnessing an illegal act of aggression against a country that is a signatory to the UN Charter. What Trump did blatantly violates international law and undermines the nuclear non-proliferation system.”

According to him, Iranian retaliation is likely to continue, but within the framework of international law: “Iran is acting rationally, attacking only military targets and seeking diplomatic support from Moscow and Beijing. I don't see Iran reacting rashly, which would only give ammunition for further US aggression.”

“Iron Dome is a farce,” says Ritter.

Ritter also addressed the damage caused by Iranian attacks on Israel and criticized the effectiveness of the Iron Dome defense system: “Israel is already defenseless. The rhetoric that it will only become vulnerable when the missiles run out is false. The system has already failed. The Iranian attacks are precise and are undermining the functionality of the Israeli state.”

The program, which at one point gathered over 62 simultaneous viewers, ended with an appeal from Napolitano: “Write and call your representatives in Congress. Remind them that only Congress can declare war. It’s time to act.” Watch:
