"A true leader understands that it's time to step out of the spotlight. It's time to move on," she added. Earle-Sears, who co-chaired a group called Black Americans for the Re-election of President Trump in 2020, also said she "simply cannot" support another Trump campaign.

Trump attacks popular Florida governor.

DeSantis comfortably won reelection as governor of Florida, a victory that, according to experts, positions him as a potential presidential candidate.

On Thursday, Trump attacked DeSantis, accusing him of being disloyal, after the politician began gaining support among conservative media as a possible candidate for the 2024 presidential election.

In a statement, Trump said his support was vital to DeSantis' victory in the 2018 local elections and that the governor is being disloyal by suggesting he might run for the Republican Party's presidential nomination.

The former president also said he saved DeSantis's gubernatorial campaign with his support and accused the conservative media of carrying out an "attack" against him by endorsing the Florida governor as a possible White House nominee.
