During a joint press conference with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, Trump declared that Washington is "very unhappy" with Russia and threatened Moscow with new "very severe tariffs."
"We are very, very dissatisfied with them. And we will impose very severe tariffs if there is no agreement within 50 days. Tariffs of around 100%, which we call secondary tariffs," stated the former president.
Next, the Republican leader recalled that the United States has already spent billions of dollars in support of Kiev and reiterated that he now seeks to end the conflict, which he attributes to the administration of former President Joe Biden.
"I'm disappointed with [Russian] President Vladimir Putin because I thought we had reached an agreement two months ago," Trump declared. "It's very simple, and [the tariffs] will be 100%. I hope we don't have to get to that point," he added.
