Terror strikes again in France on July 14th.

A truck attack in the French city of Nice left dozens dead and wounded this Thursday (14), when the crowd was celebrating the Bastille Day holiday; more than 80 people died and dozens more were injured in what is being considered a new terrorist attack; "Dear citizens of Nice, it appears that the truck driver has caused dozens of deaths. Stay in your homes," warned the city's mayor, Christian Estrosi, on Twitter; French President François Hollande is meeting with his cabinet.

247 - A truck attack in the French city of Nice left dozens dead and wounded on Thursday (14), as crowds celebrated Bastille Day. So far, more than 80 deaths and dozens of injuries have been confirmed. The incident is being treated by authorities as a terrorist attack.

The truck ran over people after the fireworks display on the Promenade des Anglais, a seaside avenue. According to witnesses, after the vehicle drove into the crowd, its passengers opened fire on those present, exchanging gunfire with police forces. 

"Dear citizens of Nice, it appears that the truck driver has caused dozens of deaths. Stay in your homes," warned the city's mayor, Christian Estrosi, on Twitter.

French President François Hollande is meeting with his cabinet.

Images posted on social media showed several people on the ground after the hit-and-run, and a truck hit by multiple gunshots. Other videos show the crowd running through the streets of Nice seeking refuge.
