Sputnik Brazil - The governments of Argentina, Australia, Canada, Chile, the United States, and Mexico are considering adopting political, economic, and financial measures against Venezuela, stated Argentine Foreign Minister Jorge Faurie.

"The countries present here are considering political, economic and financial measures against Venezuela, trying not to affect the Venezuelan people," Faurie said at a press conference in Buenos Aires, as part of a meeting of the foreign ministers of the G20, the group of the 20 most industrialized and major emerging countries.

The potential measure is announced the day after the announcement of the re-election of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro. In a landslide victory, he secured more than 5 million votes, about two-thirds of the Venezuelan electorate that went to the polls.

Part of the international community questions the fairness of the election, which had international observers involved. The election that guaranteed Maduro another 6 years in office had a 42% voter turnout.
