Russia says the Pentagon's objective in Ukraine was to create a mechanism for spreading pathogens.
The statement comes from the Russian Ministry of Defense.
Sputnik - In laboratories created and funded by the US in Ukraine, experiments were being conducted with bat coronaviruses, said the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Defense, Major General Igor Konashenkov.
"According to documents, experiments were conducted with samples of bat coronaviruses in laboratories created and funded in Ukraine," said the Russian general.
The Russian Armed Forces have found evidence in laboratory documents in Ukraine that the Pentagon was funding research to create a secret mechanism for spreading lethal pathogens, Konashenkov stated.
