Roger Waters “was too generous,” says activist who invited musician to unified rally.

Brazil Current Network - The spirit of the celebrations of Labor Day, May 1st, this Friday., when the country's trade union federations held a live broadcast transmitted by TVT On YouTube, in compliance with the quarantine imposed by the Covid-19 crisis, musician Roger Waters, former member of the band Pink Floyd, was mobilized to participate in the online event.
In an interview with Jornal Brasil Atual in yesterday afternoon's edition (1st), activist Cláudia Troiano, secretary of the Lula Institute, who contacted the musician and was mentioned by him during the broadcasts, tells how the conversation went to make her participation possible.
“He was too great, he was too generous, incredibly simple (...), he agreed to participate because he understands that things are difficult in the country, that things are bad for us,” said Cláudia. The singer recorded a video with the song “We Shall Overcome” and sent it to the event.
“He trusted in the relationship he established with me. It was a very important thing for the movement, for the live stream that we built. And it added to the effort that all Brazilian artists made; he was the icing on the cake,” said Cláudia.
