Lula's agenda at the Climate Conference includes an event with governors from the Legal Amazon region and a meeting with civil society.
247 - Brazil's president-elect, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, will participate, next Wednesday (16) and Thursday (17), in the United Nations COP27, the World Conference to halt and deal with the consequences of climate change.
On Wednesday (16), Lula will participate, at 11 am (local time in Egypt) in the event “Amazon Charter – a common agenda for climate transition”, together with the governors Antônio Waldez Góes da Silva, of Amapá, Gladson de Lima Cameli, of Acre, Mauro Mendes, of Mato Grosso, Helder Barbalho, of Pará, Wanderlei Barbosa, of Tocantins, and Marcos Rocha, of Rondônia.
At 17:15 pm (local time), Lula will make his statement at COP27, in the UN area (Blue Zone).
On Thursday (17), at 10 am (local time), Lula will meet with representatives of Brazilian civil society at the Brazil Hub, and at 15 pm (local time), with the International Forum of Indigenous Peoples/Peoples' Forum on Climate Change.
On Friday, Lula will travel to Portugal, where he will meet with Portuguese authorities and from where he will return to Brazil at the weekend.
