Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy called on Sunday (20) for an immediate ceasefire in the eastern part of the country, where clashes between pro-Russian separatists and Ukrainian forces have intensified in recent days.
He added that Ukraine supports the peace negotiations within the Trilateral Contact Group (TCG), in which the country participates, along with Russia and the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE).
"We advocate for the intensification of the peace process. We support the immediate convening of the GCT and the immediate introduction of a regime of silence," Zelenskiy posted on Twitter.
