Israeli army spokesman refuses to comment on Trump's ceasefire statements.

Increasingly politically isolated globally due to war crimes, the Israeli government has come to rely on US support for its attacks on Iran.

247 - A spokesperson for the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) declined to comment on statements by US President Donald Trump regarding a supposed ceasefire between Israel and Iran, as reported by The New York Times.

On Monday night, Trump stated on his social media account Truth Social: "Iran and Israel have agreed to a complete and total ceasefire," which would mark the end of the "12-day war."

Israel launched attacks against Iran on the 13th of this month. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that it is necessary to destroy Iran's nuclear capabilities.

The Iranian government responded to Israel, leaving approximately 25 dead on Israeli territory. On the Iranian side, the Human Rights Activists News Agency (Hrana) reports 950 dead.

Israel has already been denounced at the International Court of Justice for the crime of genocide in the Gaza Strip. Netanyahu was also the subject of an arrest warrant issued by the International Criminal Court in 2024. But the offensives by Israeli troops continued and expanded, involving other countries such as Iran, Lebanon, and the West Bank.
