Sputnik News Agency - Latvian Member of Parliament Aleksandr Kirsteins stated that it is necessary to "fragment Russia into several parts." The politician wrote about this on his Twitter account.
According to Kirsteins, such a measure is necessary "for the peace" of his country, as well as the whole of Europe.
"Only when Russia is divided, creating small nation-states, will military conflicts cease, while peace will be established in Europe for many years," the deputy emphasized.
Latvian politicians frequently resort to anti-Russian statements and measures. At the end of June, the country completely banned teaching in Russian.
Meanwhile, other politicians in the country have been highlighting the negative consequences of the deteriorating relations with Russia, such as Anrijs Matiss. According to him, this trend has mainly affected the food industry and the transit of goods and raw materials.
