Turkish police arrest perpetrator of New Year's Eve shooting.

Turkish security services have arrested the terrorist who opened fire on patrons at the Reina nightclub in Istanbul in the early hours of New Year's Day, according to the Daily Sabah; the publication, which did not indicate its source, reported that the police operation to apprehend the suspect took place on Monday night.

Sputnik Brazil Turkish security services have arrested the terrorist who opened fire on patrons at a nightclub in Istanbul in the early hours of New Year's Day, the Daily Sabah reported.

According to the publication, which did not indicate its source, the police operation to arrest the suspect took place on Monday night in Istanbul. The attack on the Reina nightclub in Istanbul occurred in the early hours of January 1st.

The terrorist, armed with an AK-47 machine gun, killed a police officer at the club's entrance, entered the premises, where more than 700 people were present, and began firing randomly.

According to Turkish authorities, 39 people died and 69 were injured. According to Reuters, the Daesh terrorist group claimed responsibility for the attack.
