247 - The deputy head of Beijing's municipal center for disease control and prevention, Pang Xinghuo, said the city had recorded a total of 173 imported cases as of last Sunday (12). The health authority added that the Chinese capital had not recorded any new locally transmitted cases for 20 consecutive days.

So far, no confirmed cases have been reported of people returning from Hubei Province, including Wuhan, to Beijing since April 8, following the lifting of a 76-day lockdown in the provincial capital.

Since April 8, nucleic acid tests have been conducted on 1.037 people from Wuhan to Beijing, and all results have been negative.

Pang reported that Beijing will adopt strict, precise, classified, orderly, and dynamic prevention and control measures. High-risk individuals will undergo nucleic acid testing, as well as strict home or collective quarantine, according to the report. Xinhua.
