HispanTV - Iran's parliament retaliates by designating the United States Central Command (Centcom) as a "terrorist organization."
On April 8, the United States government added Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) to its list of so-called foreign "terrorist organizations," accusing the Iranian military of "financing and promoting terrorism."
With 173 votes in favor, 4 against and 11 abstentions, the deputies of Iran's Islamic Consultative Assembly approved a resolution on Tuesday (23) in support of the IRGC and against the new US hostility.
According to the resolution, Centcom and all its associated forces, organizations, or entities are declared "terrorist," and any collaboration with these forces will be "considered aiding and abetting terrorist acts."
The Islamic Republic of Iran is taking this decision as a reciprocal measure against such action by the US, which is "a violation of international law and undermines the security and peace of the West Asian region," the resolution states.
