MOSCOW, February 28 (Sputnik) - Pope Francis outlined his vision for ending the conflict in Ukraine, which places inclusion and respect for all languages and cultures at the heart of the peace effort, a cleric familiar with the text told Sputnik.

The pontiff offered last year to mediate between Russia and Ukraine. Leonid Sevastyanov, leader of a Russian sect that communicates regularly with the pope, told Sputnik earlier this month that the 86-year-old pope was ready to travel to Moscow and Kiev to help the countries end the conflict.

"Reconciliation and mutual forgiveness are the principal Christian virtue. The Holy See and the Vatican are a negotiating platform for all... The goal of the negotiations is a lasting and just peace for all," Sevastyanov told Sputnik on Monday.

Sevastyanov, head of the International Union of Old Believers, a sect of Russian Orthodox religious dissidents, said the pope's plan described the negotiations as a means of achieving peace, and inclusion and cooperation as its ultimate goal.

"Russia, Ukraine, and Europe are part of an inclusive world for all! Instead of war, there should be cooperation and efforts to create a just and shared socioeconomic space. Every culture, language, ethnicity, and religion should be protected and respected," Sevastyanov quoted, based on the Pope's plan.

The Russian cleric said that the warring parties should halt the attack and sit down at the negotiating table to find a win-win solution that makes everyone feel respected. The plan also suggests that arms deliveries to all parties should stop.
