247 - The Palestinian Foreign Ministry has once again called on the international community to intervene concretely and effectively in order to end Israel's military offensive against the Gaza Strip. The information was released this Friday (27) by the Prensa Latina agency, which highlights the worsening humanitarian crisis in the Palestinian territory, where more than 56 deaths have already been recorded since the beginning of the genocide in October 2023.
In an official statement, the Palestinian government denounced the "war campaign" promoted by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and criticized the deliberate use of siege and deprivation methods as weapons of war. "Israel uses hunger, thirst, and the deprivation of medicine and healthcare as tools of aggression," the text accuses.
The Palestinian ministry also condemned the systematic destruction of civilian homes and infrastructure in Gaza, which, according to the document, is part of a strategy of expulsion and forced displacement of the population. "Israel has forced the population to flee to an area that represents no more than 18% of the coastal enclave's territory, exacerbating daily suffering," the ministry stated.
The Palestinian Foreign Ministry also reiterated its criticism of the international community, pointing to its "inability" to stop what it called a "war of extermination against our people." The government emphasized that, without the strict application of international law, the massacre in Gaza and the suffering of the civilian population will continue.
"The true path to ending the suffering of the people of Gaza is the swift implementation of international law," the statement emphasizes, further advocating for the creation of an independent and sovereign Palestinian state as a fundamental condition for establishing peace and stability in the Middle East.
Despite repeated appeals from Palestine, the humanitarian situation in Gaza worsens daily, while Israeli forces maintain intense military operations in the region.
