247 - The second round of talks between Russian and Ukrainian delegations in Belarus on a possible ceasefire will take place on Thursday (3), said the chief Russian negotiator, Vladimir Medinski. Envoys from Russia and Ukraine will meet in Belarus, for the second time, at a location near the border with Poland.

"We are expecting them tomorrow, they are already on their way," the Russian representative told state television.

Medinski is in Brest, a Belarusian city on the border with Poland and also near Ukraine, and in whose surroundings the second meeting between the two delegations will take place. An advisor to Russian President Vladimir Putin, he stated that the warring sides chose the meeting location jointly.

The Ukrainian Presidential Office confirmed shortly afterwards that the country's delegation will participate in talks with Russia.

On February 28, a first round of negotiations was held between Russia and Ukraine, which ended without any real progress. Russia continues to demand the complete demilitarization of Ukraine, which—according to Moscow—constitutes a threat. Kyiv refuses to surrender.
