"The 4th Socialist Congress made an extraordinary decision in today's plenary session: our dear brother, comrade, and President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro Moros, was appointed and confirmed as President of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela," he said.

Diosdado Cabello highlighted that the decision to ratify Maduro as president of the PSUV was a call from the 12 working groups that met last weekend during the 4th Congress to address issues of national interest. "It was an acclamation, a manifestation of absolute confidence in comrade Nicolás Maduro," he emphasized.

Maduro declared that the Chavista movement is based on the values ​​of revolutionary and transformative Bolivarianism of the 21st century.

"Chavismo is Bolivarianism, and Bolivarianism is the homeland. It is pride, it is courage. Bolivarianism means all of America united. Bolivarianism is the maximum we can feel, and Chavismo is revolutionary Bolivarianism, the transformative force of the 21st century," said Maduro during an event at the plenary session of the 4th PSUV Congress.

Maduro emphasized that with this congress, patriotic forces must "seek the primary source" to develop ideas and proposals that correspond to the interests of the people and that can curb the threats from imperial powers that undermine the stability and peace of the homeland.

Maduro also urged revolutionary forces to maintain unity in the face of attacks on national sovereignty. "Let us work for unity. Unity so that no fissures open up (...) and to build the path to socialism and the new productive economic model of the country."
