Netanyahu may support a two-state solution with conditions, says Biden.
Israel has informed the US that it opposes the establishment of a Palestinian state under any circumstances.
(Sputnik) - US President Joe Biden told reporters that he believes Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will support a two-state solution with the Palestinians if 'it's the right deal'.
Earlier this week, media outlets reported that Netanyahu informed the U.S. that opposes the establishment of a Palestinian state. as part of any post-war scenario in Gaza.
'Yes, provided it's the right (deal),' Biden said Friday when asked if he thought Netanyahu might change his mind about his opposition to a two-state solution.
Biden also said he believes he can persuade Netanyahu to support a two-state solution.
Earlier, the White House said that Biden and Netanyahu had a phone call where the US president discussed his vision for a two-state solution that also guarantees Israel's security.
