247, with HispanTV - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared that Israel is a state exclusively for Jews and not for all its citizens. In response to criticism from Israeli actress Rotem Sela, who argued that the Tel Aviv regime should end its campaign to "delegitimize" Arab citizens residing in the occupied Palestinian territories, Netanyahu reiterated that, according to Israel's so-called "nation-state" law, Israel belongs only to the Jewish people.

"Dear Rotem, an important correction: Israel is not a state of all its citizens. According to the nation-state law that we passed, Israel is the nation-state of the Jewish people and only of them," wrote the Prime Minister of the Zionist State on his Facebook page on Sunday (10).

The approval of this controversial Israeli law in July 2018 provoked international condemnation, but it was not well received even among Israelis themselves. Human rights groups and some Western governments consider it a "racist" law.

The Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) and the Palestinian authorities, in addition to criticizing this law, insist on an end to the Israeli occupation and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.

The actress had posted her opinion on her Instagram account regarding the interview that the Israeli Minister of Culture gave on a TV station.

"Miri Regev sits there and explains to journalist Rina Matzliach that the public should be aware that if candidate Benny Gantz is elected in the April general elections, he will have to form a government with the Arabs," the actress wrote on her page, which has 824 followers. She questioned when someone from the Israeli government will convey to the public that Israel is a country for all its citizens and that all people are born equal. And she concluded, "The Arabs, my God, are also human beings. The Druze are too."

Arabs represent 20% of the 9 million inhabitants of the occupied Palestinian territories. The vast majority denounce acts of discrimination.
