The wife of Venezuelan opposition leader Leopoldo López, Lilian Tintori, says she received with gratitude the criticism that President Dilma Rousseff made of her husband's imprisonment by Nicolás Maduro's regime; "The president knows what torture is, what illegal imprisonment is, what arbitrariness is. She experienced it firsthand. It was a clear, forceful message that leaves no room for debate about whether human rights are part of the regional agenda," she stated.
