Moscow rejects ICC arrest warrant against Putin: null and void.

Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova explained that Russia is not a party to the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court and has no obligations under it.

(Sputnik) - Moscow criticized the ICC's arrest warrant against President Putin as null and void. The ICC's decision to "arrest" President Putin and the Russian presidential commissioner for children's rights, Maria Lvova-Belova, is of no legal significance to Russia, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on Friday.

Earlier in the day, the ICC's Pre-Trial Chamber II issued arrest warrants for Putin and Lvova-Belova.

"The decisions of the International Criminal Court have no meaning for our country, including from a legal point of view," Zakharova said on Telegram.

The spokesperson explained that Russia is not a party to the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court and has no obligations under it.
