Morales expresses solidarity with Maduro and says South American countries will not be the backyard of the United States.
"Our solidarity with the Venezuelan people and with our brother Nicolás Maduro, in these decisive hours in which the claws of imperialism seek once again to wound democracy and the self-determination of the peoples of South America. We will never return to the backyard of the United States," said the Bolivian president.
247 - Bolivian President Evo Morales expressed solidarity with his Venezuelan counterpart, Nicolas Maduro, who is facing an attempted coup by the opposition. Morales believes the coup attempt is an effort by the United States to once again transform South America into its "backyard."
