Italian minister says Cuban aid is an extraordinary example.
Italian Public Administration Minister Fabiana Dadone said that Cuba's support in combating Covid-19 in the Piedmont region is an extraordinary example of solidarity and collaboration.
247 - In a comment published Tuesday (14) on Facebook, the Italian Minister of Public Administration, Fabiana Dadone, referred to the arrival the previous day of a brigade of 38 Cuban health sector collaborators in the city of Turin, to “help the health personnel in Piedmont hospitals who have been working tirelessly for weeks to combat this epidemic”.
After referring to the devastation caused by the disease in northern Italy, the public minister indicated that "many people have died and many are working tirelessly every day to help those infected and prevent the spread of this virus."
One last effort is needed, without lowering our guard, both in Piedmont and in the rest of Italy, Dadone pointed out, concluding with: 'Thank you Cuba, strength to Piedmont'.
Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio also thanked Cuba for its solidarity.
These acknowledgments add to the numerous demonstrations of sympathy and gratitude shown to the Cuban medical brigade since its arrival in the capital of Piedmont, where it was received with multiple expressions of affection, reports the Prensa Latina.
