Medvedev says NATO should dissolve.

NATO has easily forgotten what it has done around the world, including orchestrating coups and overthrowing legitimate heads of state.

TASS - The civilized world does not need NATO, a "criminal organization" whose member states represent only about 12% of the world's population, said Russia's Deputy Security Council Chairman Dmitry Medvedev on Tuesday (29).

"NATO countries represent no more than 12% of the planet's population. The civilized world does not need this organization. It should repent before humanity and dissolve itself under the allegation of being a criminal organization," Medvedev wrote on his Telegram channel.

According to Medvedev, NATO "easily forgot" what it had done around the world, including orchestrating coups and overthrowing legitimate heads of state. The organization and its leadership also seem to have forgotten the countless civilian casualties caused by its operations and arms supplies to extremist regimes, Medvedev added.

Medvedev also commented on recent remarks by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg regarding the need to preserve Ukraine's sovereignty and independence.

"But he made no mention of his territorial integrity. Like, it's about winning, but apparently with a decimated territory," he said.
