More arms supplies to Kiev could lead to a 'Hundred Years' War', says Marine Le Pen.

Sputnik Brazil - The Ukrainian conflict will be prolonged because Kiev will not be able to win without NATO entering the conflict, which would mean a world war, so the supply of offensive weapons to Kiev must stop, declared Marine Le Pen, leader of the National Rally party in the French Parliament, on Thursday (9).

"There aren't 50 different solutions besides a peace agreement; all the others will be bad. Ukraine will not win unless NATO comes to its aid. But if NATO enters the war on Ukraine's side, the whole world will be at war. China will also very likely enter the conflict," Le Pen said on the airwaves of France Inter radio.

She emphasized that "if we continue to supply weapons – which we don't even have – to Ukraine, depriving our own army of them, then we will face a 'Hundred Years' War'."

Le Pen noted that her National Rally party does not oppose the supply of defensive weapons to Ukraine, but the transfer of offensive weapons could exacerbate the conflict.

"The supply of offensive weapons is worrying for us because it could become an element that contributes to the transformation of territorial conflict into a global conflict," she stated.

The parliamentarian pointed out that France should contribute to the search for a peaceful solution and take the initiative to organize a conference on regulation in Ukraine, as she called for in an open letter published at the end of February.

Previously, French President Emmanuel Macron stated that he is not ruling out any options for further arms deliveries to Ukraine, including military aircraft and Leclerc heavy tanks. According to the French Ministry of Defense, the first French AMX-10RC tanks are expected to arrive in Ukraine this week.

Western countries have been increasing their military support for Kyiv since February 24, when Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine following requests for assistance from the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) and the Lugansk People's Republic (LPR).

Russia has sent a note to NATO countries regarding the supply of weapons to Ukraine. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov noted that any shipment containing weapons destined for Ukraine will become a legitimate target for Russia.

The Russian Foreign Ministry stated that NATO countries are "playing with fire" by supplying weapons to Ukraine. Russian President Dmitry Peskov's spokesman noted that the West's bombing of Ukraine with weapons does not contribute to the success of negotiations between Russia and Ukraine and will have a negative effect.
