More than 130 have died in Ukraine following military action, says President Zelensky.
Another 316 people were injured as a result of the Russian military action, said Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
247 - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Thursday (24) that at least 137 Ukrainians died after the Russian military action, which began in the early hours of Thursday. According to him, another 316 people were injured in the fighting.
"137 heroes, our citizens, lost their lives," the president said in a televised address.

Russia is trying to block Ukraine's entry into the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), led by the United States, which announced... sanctions against the Russian government.
This week, before the military action, Russia recognized the independence of two separatist republics in Ukraine - Donetsk and Lugansk - and, this Thursday, stated that it would give harsh answers to the sanctions imposed by the European Union.
