247, with AVN - Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro called on Wednesday (22) for the country's workers to a "Constituent Congress" with the aim of seeking actions and defining terms that will guarantee economic recovery.
"I call upon the entire working class. I call upon them to establish a great constituent congress to debate the terms of the economic recovery program and the terms of the working class's participation in this battle for the recovery and productive revolution of Venezuela. I call upon the entire working class to join the Constituent Congress," said the Venezuelan head of state in a radio and television address.
Maduro emphasized that this congress should be held within the next 15 days and should produce concrete proposals that will pave the way for economic growth and stability, within the framework of the recovery plan and the nine guidelines adopted by the government for economic development.
"This economic recovery program was born from the experience of these years in the fight against the economic warfare model," said the Venezuelan president.
"We've reached a point where the economic warfare model has run its course and it's necessary to move forward with a recovery program," he added.
