HispanTV - In a meeting with commanders of the Armed Forces and Army personnel in Tehran, the Persian capital, Ayatollah Sayed Ali Khamenei expressed his contempt on Wednesday (17) for the United States' decision to consider the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as "terrorist".
During the event, held to mark National Army Day, which takes place on April 18, Khamenei said that the Armed Forces are a "constitutive element of national power."
"However, in many countries, including those that proclaim themselves defenders of freedom and human rights, the Armed Forces are an element of power used to protect dictatorships and repress the nation," said the Iranian leader, citing as an example the violence exercised by the French police against the Yellow Vest movement.
