The leader of the Wagner Group claims to have taken the city of Bakhmut, in Ukraine, and raised a Russian flag.
“We raised the Russian flag with the inscription 'Good memory for Vladlen Tatarsky' and the Wagner PMC flag on top of the Bakhmut city administration building,” Prigozhin said.
247 - Yevgeny Prigozhin, the head of Russia's Wagner Group, announced the capture of the city of Artryomovsk (known in Ukraine as Bakhmut).
In a video taken in front of the city's administrative building this Sunday (2), he claims that his fighters would raise the Russian flag in the city of Bakhmut.
“We raised the Russian flag with the inscription 'Good memory for Vladlen Tatarsky' and the Wagner PMC flag on top of the Bakhmut city administration building,” Prigozhin said.
Prigozhin's announcement comes just hours after Russian military blogger Tatarsky (real name Maksim Fomin) was killed in an apparent improvised explosive device explosion at a café in St. Petersburg on Sunday afternoon.
