Kremlin on possible Russian bases in Cuba: Moscow and Havana have 'synchronized positions'
Russian President Putin and Cuban leader Díaz-Canel spoke on Monday and shared their views on international affairs.
Sputnik - Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated that President Vladimir Putin and the Cuban leader share the same views on international affairs when discussing the creation of a military base in Cuba.
During a dialogue held on Monday (24), the leaders of Russia and Cuba shared their ideas on international affairs, Peskov said.
"You know that relations between Russia and Cuba have deep traditions, they are filled with specific content, and in fact, the alignment of positions on international and regional issues that represent mutual interest is extremely important. Indeed, the leaders of the two countries spoke about this yesterday," he stated.
Russian President Vladimir Putin held a telephone conversation with Cuban leader Miguel Mario Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, in which the parties discussed issues regarding the coordination of actions related to the strategic partnership.
