247 - A large explosion was heard in Kiev on Wednesday night (2), near a central railway station in the Ukrainian capital, according to preliminary reports. The station building withstood the impact and suffered minor damage. The information was published by UOL portal.
In an online post, Interior Ministry advisor Anton Herashchenko stated that the explosion may have cut off central heating to parts of the Ukrainian capital amid low temperatures.
According to the Ukrainian State Emergency Service, more than 2 civilians have died since February 24th.
According to a Ukrainian official, quoted by the Turkish news agency TRT World, the explosion near the central station was caused by debris from a Russian missile shot down by the Ukrainian Air Force.
