Gaddafi, he too, asks the Libyan people to reject the new government.

The call "to take to the squares and streets in all cities, by the millions" to reject the National Transitional Council was made in a poor quality recording.

Deposed Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi called on Libyans to gather in the millions and demonstrate against the country's new rulers, according to an audio message broadcast Thursday by Syrian television station Al-Rai.

"I call upon the Libyan people, men and women, to take to the squares and streets in every city, by the millions," to reject the National Transitional Council, he says in the poor-quality recording.
