247 - Italian far-right leader and former Interior Minister Matteo Salvini, a key ally of Jair Bolsonaro, spent the night with other senators from his League party in the Senate as a form of protest against the gradual reopening of the country. He advocates for a complete end to the lockdown. This information comes from the Ansa news agency.

Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte announced measures to ease the quarantine, starting May 4th, which will allow people to walk in parks and attend funerals.

"Concrete answers regarding masks and health protection for all, aid for workers who have been temporarily laid off, real money for merchants and employers, solutions for families with children at home and schools closed, real mortgage suspension, support for rents and bills," Salvini wrote on his social media.

However, according to Senator Agostino Santillo of the Five Star Movement (M5S), Salvini's occupation of Parliament lasted only "two selfies".

"The League's occupation of parliament lasted for two selfies and two scenes. When Salvini finished speaking, they disappeared," Santillo said on his Twitter profile.
