247 - The Islamic Republic of Iran does not intend to yield to external pressure nor be intimidated by statements from United States authorities. This position was reaffirmed by the deputy commander-in-chief of the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi, when commenting on Washington's belligerent rhetoric amid recent internal and regional tensions involving the Persian country.

The statements were released by the Hispantv channel, according to which Vahidi made the statements this Wednesday (28), during an event held at the University of Tehran. The ceremony was dedicated to honoring Iranian scientists and high-ranking military officers who were martyred, bringing together authorities and members of the academic community.

During his speech, the general was direct in responding to threats from American officials, including US President Donald Trump. "The statements from American officials do not intimidate us," Vahidi stated, emphasizing that Iran will continue to strengthen its defensive capabilities in the face of what he described as inflammatory rhetoric.

The deputy commander of the Revolutionary Guard emphasized that the country has made significant progress in the defense industry following the 12-day war that began in June, involving Israel and the United States against Iranian territory. According to him, the conflict acted as a catalyst for scientific and technological development in the military sector.

“The 12-day conflict, which led to the defeat of our enemies and the victory and honor of Iran, laid the foundation for a great scientific breakthrough and resurgence. After the war, tens of thousands of ideas from various scientific sectors across the country were transferred to us in the field of scientific technologies. Some of these ideas are now in the production phase and are being transformed into products,” the general stated, referring to the accelerated development of advanced military equipment using modern technology.
