US intelligence refutes Trump's claims and says the wave of violence was the work of opportunists.

The analysis was conducted by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security on June 1st. This past weekend, however, U.S. Attorney General William Barr endorsed President Donald Trump, stating that the violence in the demonstrations was linked to "far-left groups."

247 - US intelligence analyses indicate that most of the violence recorded during the anti-racism protests was the work of opportunists, not left-leaning groups as President Donald Trump claimed. According to Reuters, the analysis was conducted by the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) on June 1st.

In general terms, the document obtained by Reuters indicates that there is only some evidence that the Antifa movement might be involved in some cases of violence. The analysis also suggests that white supremacist groups may be instigating confrontations through the internet, although it has not presented evidence of this fact.

According to the report, DHS spokesman Alexei Woltonist said the agency would "hold those responsible for the confusion accountable," but did not comment on the intelligence service report.

This past weekend, U.S. Attorney General William Barr stated that the violence seen in the protests was linked to "far-left groups." This statement had already been made by Trump, who also threatened to label anti-fascist groups as... terrorists
