Palestinian teenager Ahed Tamimi, who gained worldwide admiration for defying the Israeli occupation army, is free after eight months in prison.
A question that begs to be asked: why do the same media and international organizations that so highly value another teenager, Malala from Pakistan, who defended girls' rights to education against Islamic fundamentalist militias, ignore and belittle the struggle of the Palestinian girl?
For my part, I consider both equally deserving of recognition and admiration, but I feel uncomfortable with the unequal treatment in these two cases.
