Forum Magazine - The Puebla Group, an alliance of progressive parties and organizations from Latin America and the Caribbean, released a statement this Wednesday (10), in which it asks the OAS (Organization of American States) to change its stance and work to “restore democratic legitimacy in Bolivia,” broken after the coup against Evo Morales in November 2019.

The statement, released on the Group's website, expresses its "concern about the new evidence that clarifies the OAS's hasty and intentional declaration." The phrase is a clear allusion to the audit conducted by the organization on the October elections, won by Evo Morales in the first round. The Puebla Group is made up of several former Latin American presidents, including two Brazilians, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and Dilma Rousseff, as well as Pepe Mujica (Uruguay), Cristina Kirchner (Argentina), Rafael Correa (Ecuador), Fernando Lugo (Paraguay), and Ernesto Samper (Colombia), in addition to Evo Morales himself. It also includes a current president, the Argentinian Alberto Fernández.
