Beirut's governor compares the city's explosion to Hiroshima and Nagasaki: "a national catastrophe"

According to Abboud, half the city was hit by the explosions. “It looks like what happened in Japan, in Hiroshima and Nagasaki. That’s what it reminds me of. In all my life I have never seen destruction on this scale,” said the governor, in tears.
"It's a national catastrophe. It's a disaster for Lebanon. We don't know how we're going to recover from this. We have to stay strong, we have to be brave," he declared.
