The news portal Sada El-Balad, citing a source on the investigation team, said that an unknown attacker threw the bomb into the Cathedral during prayer.

According to the latest figures, the death toll has risen to 24, the Egyptian Ministry of Health reported. Neither armed group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
