The US will boycott the G20 in South Africa, Trump announces, again spreading the fake news of "white genocide."

In response, the South African government released a statement vehemently denying the accusation.

247 - US President Donald Trump confirmed the decision to boycott the upcoming G20 Summit in South Africa and not to send at least one official representative to the country, the Sputnik Africa news agency reported on Saturday (8).

“It is a complete disgrace that the G20 is being held in South Africa,” Trump wrote on his social media platform, Truth Social. According to him, again without presenting evidence, Afrikaners—descendants of Dutch, French, and German settlers—“are being killed and massacred, and their lands and farms are being illegally confiscated.”

In response, the South African Ministry of Foreign Affairs released a statement vehemently denying the existence of the alleged "genocide" against white citizens, according to Sputnik. The country had previously criticized the US decision to prioritize asylum applications from white South Africans of Afrikaner origin. Last Wednesday (5), Trump had already stated that he would not personally attend the summit.

The G20 Summit will take place in Johannesburg from November 22nd to 23rd.
