247, with Sputnik - The Pentagon is developing a new military strategy against Russia and China, which envisions a deep "stealth intervention" by land, sea, and air, declared the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the US Air Force, David Goldfein, during his speech at the University of Washington. According to him, the development of the new strategy was launched in response to the Russian and Chinese "threat." The drafting process would take about a year and cost $135 billion.
Furthermore, according to Goldfein, all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces will participate in the new strategy. The F-35 fighter jet would serve as the coordinating staff for the various offensive actions.
The American general stated that the new strategy aims to attack the opponent's weaknesses, avoiding confrontation with their strengths.
The objective would be to stealthily penetrate enemy territory simultaneously by land, air, and sea. The joint action of the different armed forces should lead to an "asymmetric advantage" through "simultaneous dilemmas." The enemy does not know what to do or realizes that it cannot defend itself. This is a war based on real-time networks, in which not only aircraft or submarines, but also ground troops operate stealthily.
"It's a fundamental change, both culturally and technically," Goldfein declared, adding that, thanks to the new strategy, American troops will gain asymmetrical advantages over a potential adversary.
The German website emphasizes that the new American strategy resembles the "Trojan horse" tactic, while it remains unclear how the US plans to implement it considering the modern weapons of Russia and China, capable of confronting American ones.
