The United States is once again attacking China in a new episode of the trade war.
One of the top advisors to the President of the United States, Peter Navarro, accused China of being involved in a trade game with the rest of the world.
247, with Sputnik - "Unfortunately, we are now in a zero-sum game between China and the rest of the world," Navarro told the American television channel CNBC. Trump's advisor added that the US must work together with other countries to ensure prosperity and stable stock markets.
The advisor stressed that Beijing threatens Washington's interests in fields such as artificial intelligence, robotics, and other high-tech industries. "They are attacking our crown jewels (...) this is our future. We must defend it," Navarro emphasized.
Previously, China stated that the trade war was initiated by the US and that the conflict is becoming the biggest "confidence killer" in the global economy and trade.
